A nonstop carnival of rhythm, Perú Negro’s high-energy show utilizes bright costumes and unconventional instruments (a wooden crate, a jawbone of a donkey) to tell the story of Peru’s complex black cultural traditions. Festive and celebratory dances are interwoven with vibrant live music, recreating the folkloric history of their Peruvian ancestors.
Location: Laxson Auditorium
