Steve Lopez is the author of the inspirational novel, The Soloist: A Lost Dream, an Unlikely Friendship and the Redemptive Power of Music (now a major motion film starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.) The novel focuses on friendship, second chances, and the power of music and art. He tells the story of Nathanial Ayers, a former Julliard School of Music musician, whose former home was Los Angeles’ skid row, the homeless capitol of our nation.
