Paradise
Paradise is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Northern California. We enjoy all four seasons,including nice warm summers that are perfect for enjoying the nearby lakes. The surrounding areas offer great outdoor activities such as fishing,hunting,camping,golf,and alot more.We have several outdoor farmers markets with fresh fruits,vegtables,and crafts.Enjoy our great Senior center and preforming arts center.There are several events during the year in Paradise.Gold Nugget Days,Johnny Apple Seed Days,Chocolate Fest,and our 4th of July Parade.Lake Oroville has terrific water sports and offers a marina and launch ramp right here in Paradise.Butte Community College offers a wide variety of classes and is about 10 minutes from Paradise.The population in Paradise is about 26,000 people.The elevation of Paradise is 1,200-2,400 feet.As you drive from Chico to Paradise on Skyway you will see our "Little Grand Canyon." This is one beautiful view as you come into town.
Magalia
Magalia is just a couple miles north of Paradise. There you have Paradise lake and Desabla reservior which are great for trout fishing. Magalia has a population of about 18,000.Elevation here is 2,400-2,800 feet.
Stirling City
Continue up the hill and you come to Stirling City. This is a small mining town. A little futher up the hill and you get to the high lakes. Great off road riding and outdoor recreation.Once you leave this little town and head up the hill you have open roads that lead you to the back country of the foothills.The elevation here is 3,600 feet.
Chico
Chico is about 15 miles away. This is a great college town home of Chico state university.Chico has nice shops and great places to eat.You can walk around and see why the town is so great.Laid back and easy going is the way of life here.
