For many the holiday season is a joyous occasion—spending time with family and
friends by sharing a meal or exchanging gifts. While this is true for many,
there are people in our community who are struggling to make ends meet. Imagine
yourself as a teen mother abandoned by her family and expecting her first child,
or a parent working a minimum wage job with four young children and struggling
to put food on the table. The Adopt-A-Family program strives to make the holiday
season happier for those North State families by providing gifts of clothing,
food and toys.
We would like to invite you, your family, friends, church, social group,
co-workers or even your child’s school to help us bring the magic back to
families and individuals in need this holiday season. All you need is a generous heart,
a visit to one of our offices or our website to select a family, and a little
extra holiday shopping.
